Read a Factur-X invoice
Updated 21 August 2026
A Factur-X invoice is one file, two layers: a PDF you read, and an XML data file embedded inside it, which your accounting will use. An ordinary PDF reader shows you only the first. To actually read the invoice, you need to see both.
That is what Pruvue does: drop the file in, and both layers appear side by side, with the declared profile and the verdict. The file stays on your device, it is sent nowhere, and there is no account to create. As many invoices as you like, for as long as you like.
The first thing you will see is the profile: MINIMUM, BASIC WL, BASIC, EN 16931 or EXTENDED. It says how much data the file really carries. The lighter profiles are not a complete invoice: they accompany bookkeeping, they do not replace it.
Open your file and read it. If what you want is what to check before booking it, the guide on checking a received Factur-X invoice gives the four-point method.
